Summary Description:
As a CAD Designer in our Civil Engineering service business, you will be working with a team of civil, transportation and structural engineers to develop construction drawings for a large variety of clients and project types. You will also be communicating and coordinating with subconsultant firms and other engineering disciplines as needed to meet our client’s needs.
This is a key role in maintaining a consistent and quality set of the documents for our clients. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for clients such as the State of Florida, municipalities, and private developers allowing for a mastery of a range of career building skills.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up drawing files received from survey data or client base mapping
- Civil Engineering project design and production of construction plans in AutoCAD (water and force mains, gravity sewer, lift stations, roadways, grading, pavement design, drainage systems, surface water management, earthwork, etc.)
- Coordinating the exchange and updating of drawing files with other team members and subconsultants.
- Assembling and performing quality reviews of drawings for design releases
- Providing drafting of water / sewer systems, structures, site development, roadways, drainage, and other related facilities
Candidate Requirements:
- Associates degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Civil 3D experience desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of tools
