This Chief Medical Officer will report directly to the President/CEO of the Hospital and work collaboratively with all members of the executive team to assure alignment of goals and initiatives. Responsibilities for this CMO will include ensuring compliance with organization's ethics, policies, and procedures, acting as a Corporate Compliance Associate, oversee budget and personnel management, ensure efficient, economic, and quality performance of assigned areas of responsibility, maintain open and honest communication with Board of Directors, participate in hospital and medical staff committee meetings, and have a strong understanding of operations in various systems across the organization. This Chief Medical Officer will also oversee performance of department staff, hiring, and provide assistance to elected staff leaders in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. This CMO will also oversee patient safety and quality of clinical care to ensure the most successful patient outcomes and satisfaction as possible.

It is required that this CAH Chief Medical Officer has previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital, ideally along the North-Western Coast. This CMO should also have previous experience as either a Chief Medical Officer or previous Medical Staff Leadership. Active Oregon licensure as an M.D. or D.O. is also required.
