Call Center Specialist - Remote in TN, MS or AL only

POSITION SUMMARY
The Call Center Specialist is responsible for answering inbound calls, understanding the caller’s need, and routing or taking a message for the proper person or department. This person in this position must have strong empathy and patience while being able to maintain control of the conversation. This position’s focus is on customer service, customer experience and customer satisfaction. This position requires heavy/extensive time on the phone interacting with patients/customers. This position needs to be in the geographical area of our operations in Tennessee, Mississippi or Alabama.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Call Center Operations and is 100% remote. Performance of job responsibilities during the normal business hours of the company (generally M-F, 8-5PM) is expected.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience preferred. Previous experience in durable medical equipment (DME), healthcare billing/CSR, patient intake or call center is a plus. This remote position must have high-speed internet connection and an environment that is conducive to proper phone etiquette. Position requires acceptable drug screen and background investigation; additional routine or random screening may be performed as deemed necessary by the company.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent verbal communication skills, exhibiting proper phone etiquette. Familiarity with computers and data entry with high level of accuracy. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation. Handle calls in a positive, helpful, and respectful manner, using appropriate tone and demeanor in all interactions. Organized and structured in carrying out responsibilities. Efficient use of technology and software.

- Handle phone calls in a timely and professional manner;
- Provide accurate and consistent information;
- Exhibit quality customer service and support;
- Maintain professional, polite, and respectful interactions with employees, patients/customers, referrals sources, and vendors;
- Responsible to perform other duties as assigned by management.
