Manager for Our New Pepperell Location

New England Craft Cultivators, LLC is an independently owned, pop-and-pop, cannabis company started by two friends in 2019. We have one open dispensary, “Tree House Craft Cannabis” in Dracut, and will be opening our second “Tree House Craft Cannabis” location in Pepperell in the next couple of months.

REPORTING STRUCTURE: The General Manager will report to the Co-CEO’s Wes Ritchie and Ture Turnbull.

EXTRAS: Experience in retail is required. Experience in cannabis is desired but not required. A willingness to learn and become a subject matter expert in cannabis is required. Understanding of startup culture strongly desired. Sense of humor strongly desired. Must treat all people respectfully 100% of the time. Must have attention to detail.

DUTIES & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

SEEKING A LITTLE SOMETHING/SOMEONE DIFFERENT:

We’re looking for a little something/someone different. We’re looking for a professionally trained, non-entry level, retail and service-oriented person who will work every day to set an excellent tone and example for our staff, our customers, and the community. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented team-builder and has a desire – even a burning desire – to help a passionate team grow, develop, and make our cannabis dispensary into an incredibly vibrant and special experience. We need someone who can thrive in a startup environment while always being assertive within her/his/their area of focus. We’re also looking for someone who can grow with the company over time.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The General Manager oversees the daily operation of the dispensary, handling the needs of all customers, and developing a professional team that is invested in and passionate about cannabis.
This is a hands-on position that requires a strong, patient, experienced leader who will invest in, grow, train, and develop a team that provides exceptional service to our customers. The General
Manager will work closely with the Executive Management Team to ensure immaculate record keeping and compliance with local and state regulations. If you are not a detail-oriented person, you probably/most definitely will not enjoy this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: BACK-END STUFF

  • Working with the executive team to hire the opening staff
  • Day to day scheduling and staffing
  • Inventory management and pricing
  • Excellent, detailed record keeping
  • Training dispensary staff in an ongoing way across all training areas
  • Creating an excellent staff culture and sense of responsibility
  • Day to day financial and cash management of revenue and cash drawers
  • Preparation and handling all regulatory inspections and compliance audits in consultation with the executive team
  • Regulatory compliance with all deliveries of products
  • Immediately raising any HR or other issues as they arise
  • Delegate to excellent staff, coach staff to grow, empower staff to grow

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: FRONT-END STUFF

  • Managing daily activities of the dispensary
  • Keeping the sales floor beautiful and presentable and accessible
  • Careful care about our customer experience
  • Addressing any customer issues as they arise
  • Open to changes as the business develops

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have integrity, always tell the truth, and be comfortable working as a member of a team
  • Must be at least 21 years or older
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check (happy to help you understand what that means in this industry)
  • Must be able to always maintain a current Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration

Card before and during employment

  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional written and verbal communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational, project management, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Comfortable managing others.
  • Ability to maintain employee confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a culturally competent manner

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • B.A. degree is desired but not required, we will consider well-qualified applicants of all educational backgrounds.
  • An absolute minimum of 5 years solid operations management experience, with a desired

8 year minimum preferred.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
