Job description
Working as part of the Business Development Team, the Capture Manager serves as the interface with assigned business units or functional areas, leveraging their experience across the business development lifecycle from opportunity identification, qualification, capture and proposal submission. The Capture Manager will lead complex, technical bids including developing an in-depth understanding of the potential client’s requirements and challenges, competitive advantages/differentiators, development of solutions and forming a team of experts to deliver a meaningful solution.

Responsibilities:
- Run capture processes on new business opportunities
- Lead strategic capture efforts throughout the sales lifecycle
- Perform market analysis, identify opportunities, develop and execute capture plans, and monitor competitor activity for each capture
- Ability to work with executives and senior leadership
- Conduct competitive analysis to develop competitive solutions
- Create and analyze relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to senior management.
- Mentor and develop staff on capture requirements and strategies.
- Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant business, technical, or professional field of study.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience leading capture efforts in support of Federal procurements
- Demonstrated understanding of capture management best practices
- Demonstrated experience managing and writing proposals
- Demonstrated ability to capture business
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and business acumen
- Proactive, attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
- Experience with Google Suite of tools and MS Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in accounting, business, finance, purchasing, economics, mathematics, or related field
- Experience developing price-to-win analysis
- Familiarity with Norfolk, VA; Charleston, SC and DC Metro areas
