Starting salary: $52,880 - $60,812 (dependent on experience)

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Provide primary support for our foster homes and assist them in navigating in the Child Welfare System. Emphasis on client satisfaction, retention and utilization of the home. Partner and collaborate with Caregiver Information and Eligibility and other system of care partners- Case Management, Intake and Placement, Emotional Support Providers and other Embrace Families departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Initial contact for emotional support from foster parents and manage their requests for support
  • Quarterly Licensing Home Visit (include assistance with training) and documentation in FSFN
  • Liaison with regulatory-CIE on caregivers behalf
  • Participate in monthly Foster Parent County meetings
  • Participate in monthly Foster Parent Association meeting
  • Collaborate with Emotional Support Providers about foster parent needs
  • Contact foster homes for initial and subsequent placements and assess appropriateness of specific children in their home
  • Participate in team activities assessing skill level of foster parents and participate in Step Down staffings for older youth
  • Update Argos foster home profile ongoing
  • Complete over capacity waivers and collaborate with CIE team
  • Complete corrective action plans for foster homes and work with the CIE team
  • Participate in foster care referrals and institutional staffings
  • Participate in Placement Support Staffings and make recommendations about foster parent needs/supports related to children in their home in order to stabilize the placement
  • Act as a scribe in Placement Support Staffings and collaborate with the County BHC in order to support the foster home and stabilize the placement
  • On-call rotation after hours for new placement referrals or subsequent placements
  • For specific on call position: On call after hour’s position with emphasis on new intakes/subsequent foster home placements. Contact with foster parents who aren’t available until after hours.
  • Conduct quarterly home visits with foster parents and collaborate with CIE regarding re-licensure activities
  • Have ongoing calls with foster parents and act as a resource and provide support

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human service area
  • Current Child Welfare Certification or in process of obtaining

PREFERRED:

  • Child Welfare Certified and 2 years’ experience

SKILLS:

REQUIRED:

  • Intermediate data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time-management and organization skills
  • Ability to analyze, integrate and report data
  • Demonstrate cultural & linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served
  • Ability to travel
