Service Cashier position available working indoors and a great friendly environment!

Full Time and Part Time positions available, including some evenings each week and Saturdays (closed Sunday).

Seeking excellent phone and interpersonal guest satisfaction skills with great professional and honest communication abilities to work in a team office environment.

Murdock Hyundai Service in Lindon is looking for cashiers to work in the cashier office. The cashier office has a range of responsibilities that require both computer skills and excellent customer service skills. While this job is in a car repair facility, knowledge of vehicles is not a requirement, though it is helpful. Responsibilities include working with customers, answering the phone, processing paperwork, and logistic responsibilities as your training progresses. Applicants must be 18 or older to apply. Pay starts at $14/hour with the possibility of raises as you take on more responsibility. This job requires focus on several different tasks simultaneously, such as answering the phone, working with customers, and processing paperwork. Hours are very flexible. Murdock Hyundai is open Monday through Friday, 7am to 9pm. This is a great job for college kids or moms while kids are at school! This office is a very friendly and fast-paced atmosphere with incredible coworkers and supervisors. We have an extremely close team that is committed to this job and sincerely love what they do.

Position summary:

Interact with guests at the Service Cashier window and monitor daily processing of paperwork to represent the Murdock Auto Team brand standing in a league of our own in the automotive industry by delivering on our No Regrets promise through enthusiasm, guest experience, and continual innovation and growth.

Tasks:

  • Confer with guests by telephone or in person to collect accounts receivable, provide information about Murdock services, facilitate processing of payments due from each customer, direct guests to sales consultants or other appropriate staff members as needed, and help resolve concerns as needed.
  • Keep records of guest payments and other paperwork organized, monitor interactions with guest payments, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Ensure that guests are being greeted and customers' needs being addressed and proactively refer unresolved customer needs to designated departments for further investigation.
  • Direct guests with inquiries guest waiting areas, restrooms, offices, and/or to communicate services available for guests of the Murdock Auto Team.
  • Anxiously deliver professional appearance and positive communition to all guests in a team based office space cooperating with other departments to deliver honest information in all financial transactions.
  • Follow-up with guests to determine if their needs were met and they experience was the best quality.

Experience And Education:

High School diploma or GED. Ability record and monitor surroundings. Experience in customer service, Excel spreadsheets, and MicroSoft Office. Excellent communication and time management skills. Must be able to work as a team member in a fast paced environment. Must minimum of 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting and walking throughout the dealership showroom and lot.
