JOB SUMMARY

The Casino Host main responsibility is to develop and maintain effective working relationships with DCR’s very best players and provide services to them to build player loyalty and increase the number of visits or amount played (or both) from those players. In order to do this the Host must also develop and maintain strong working relationships with key allies throughout the property and in the community to ensure players have the experience they expect while gaming and to generate leads for new business. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Downstream Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Presents welcoming, friendly demeanor toward guests and provides recognition and provides recognition and sense of value to guest.

· Establishes and maintains positive customer relationships with players that meet the property criteria to be Hosted (and with those identified to have the potential to reach that level of play).

· Encourages the use of the Q Card by rewarding rated play with issuance of complimentaries to qualified patrons.

· Responds to Hosted guest requests, questions or problems in a timely fashion. Follows up with guest after departure and maintains contact.

· Learns about and tailors services to guests’ preferences, likes and dislikes.

· Interacts in person while on property, as well as via telephone, e-mail, text message and written correspondence to their Hostedplayers as well as players that have a potential to reach the Hosted level to encourage future visits and the promotion of special events.

· Communicates with patrons to promote the convenience of casino credit.

· Represents management as a role model of customer service and professionalism at special events.

· Greets Hosted, and new customers with potential to reach a hosted level, while they are at Downstream Casino Resort.

· Assists in planning special events and in the creation of those events, creativity is a must for this position.

· Organizes and participates in off-property functions such as dinners, cocktail parties, golf tournaments, etc. with potentially Hostedcustomers.

· Is responsible for developing incremental trips from our Hosted gaming patrons.

· Keeps abreast of competitive promotional methods. Provides complimentaries for gaming customers in accordance with program qualifications.

· Assists Hosted customers with room, show, dinner, spa and/or golf requests.

· Determines player eligibility of complimentary services by analyzing theoretical and win/loss ratings

· Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.

· Conveys terms of programs and explains qualifications and requirements to prospective gaming customer.

· Works closely with hotel and restaurants processing, filling and releasing blocks in a timely manner.

· Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.

· Attends PD events and assists other Host team members with their Hosted players.

· Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

· Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

· Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

· High School graduate or equivalent required

· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.

· High school diploma or its equivalency required.

· Must have 1-2 years outside sales and/or telemarketing or hospitality experience; working directly with people.

· Must be proficient in all basic Windows Software.

· College degree or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years in gaming operations experience preferred.

· Must enjoy being with people and has the ability to make each guest feel special.

· Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.

· Able to resolve guest's problems so that both the guest and the casino are pleased with the outcome.

· Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of

the casino.

· Must be physically able to spend minimum of 5 hours on their feet in casino property.

· Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

· Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.

· Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when necessary.

· Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast

pace environment.

The Downstream Casino Resort Adheres to all applicable Resolutions of the Quapaw Nation. Native American Preference policy does apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
