ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) Project Manager for TxDOT Projects to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX. To meet TxDOT requirements, this position requires a registered professional engineer (PE). The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of demonstrated experience on major CE&I highway and bridge construction projects within the Texas transportation / CE&I industry. As CE&I Project Manager for TxDOT Projects, you will provide on-site leadership, management, and inspection to oversee construction plans and constructability as well as anticipate and quickly resolve issues as they occur.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and maintain contact with key personnel and officials, including maintenance and development of client relationships as well as coordination with municipalities to obtain proper certifications/permits.
• Administer contracts; manage projects; provide hands-on oversight to anticipate and quickly resolve on-site issues; and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with tight deadlines and ability to adjust to project priorities and demands of multiple clients.
• Develop and monitor project scope, budget, schedule, and quality control for CE&I projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables.
• Manage CE&I crew schedules and coordinate with other departments for proper allocation of personnel and resources to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate and assume responsibility for CE&I safety efforts.
• Use appropriate project management software to track project tasks and timelines, ensuring timely completion of project stages following project schedule.
• Travel typically 50%, mostly within TX with limited travel outside of Texas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required to provide CE&I services for TxDOT
• 10+ years of experience on major CE&I highway and bridge construction projects in the TX transportation / CE&I industry with at least 5 years of experience managing CE&I projects
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and verbal/written communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with clients, contractors, engineers, government entities, and the public
• Excellent financial management skills
• Experience preparing complete and comprehensive reports
• Understanding and experience implementing safety practices in the construction industry
• Must be proficient in SiteManager, Primavera, and Microsoft Office
• Must be able to work flexible hours (travel required)
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy
