Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Medical Assistants for a Pain Management office in Tamarac, Florida. This practice is seeking a Medical Assistant who are a recent graduate from a program and have earned their CCMA (Nationally Certified Medical Assistant). The MA will be responsible for reviewing previous patient and medical history, social history, family history, reviewing current medications, take and record vitals and take prior authorization of medications. The practice has procedures in in office for interventional pain including epidurals, radiofrequency, diagnostic nerve blocks and trigger point injections. The MA will be responsible for setting up the counter for the next day, office notes, imaging reports, MA will also help with scheduling patients later visits. The office has one Front Desk Receptionist, one Physician and one Office Manager. The office typically sees between 20-25 patients per day and this daily number would increase once the schedule is updated from 5x8 to 4x10. The practice is testing the 4x10 model out starting next week and it could switch back to 5x8 so candidates should be able to commit to both schedules. The MA can be trained to use the fluoroscopy machine and C-ARM. The MA must have a calm demeanor and keep their composure while helping patients who could be in a lot of pain when they come for their office visit. The MA could be assisting at the front desk as needed and could be traveling to other offices if someone calls out sick or if additional help is needed. They would be compensated for mileage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
