We have 11 clinics located throughout the River Region, 2 mobile clinics, and 4 school-based clinics in partnership with Montgomery Public Schools.HSI is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Our CMAs are an integral part of our team, providing clinical and clerical support to our Providers and patients.
This position typically works a standard schedule of 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, however, schedule adjustments may be necessary based on need.
Medical Assistants perform a wide range of duties, including:
- Preparing patients for provider encounters, including gathering medical history, taking and recording vital signs, and gathering other relevant information relevant to the visit.
- Assisting the providers with examinations.
- Assisting providers with specialized treatments and procedures.
- Documenting patient visits and encounters in EHR (Athena), according to protocol.
- Stocking,cleaning and prepping patient exam rooms, nurses' station and other clinic areas.
- Providing patient education or assisting other personnel with patient education.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- CMA Credential
- BCLS/CPR Certification
- One (1) year of previous experience in clinical setting
