IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians (IUSIP) is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our multidisciplinary, collaborative and supportive practice of OBGYN providers at the new award-winning hospital in Bloomington, IN. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build their own patient panel, delivery their own patients, and work with a fantastic values-based team of obstetrician/gynecologists, midwives, and nurse practitioners who are committed to safety and excellent quality in patient care.

Employment Details

• Inpatient and outpatient practice at the brand new hospital in Bloomington, IN (recently named to U.S. News & World Report's list of the Best Hospitals for Maternity Care)
• Care for a diverse patient population with some high risk needs (Level III NICU)
• Primary responsibilities
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • Prenatal, antepartum and postpartum care
  • General gynecology inpatient
  • OB emergency triage and after hours phone triage
  • Part-time (.6FTE), with potential to lead into full-time position

Qualifications

• Successful candidate will have critical thinking skills, strong communication, great patient experiences and be a team player
• Some OB experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, preferred
• 1-2 years experience, preferred

IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center is a not-for-profit organization and has a patient base of 413,000 in 10 counties (Brown, Daviess, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, and Owen).
