- Basic interviewing skills and proper collection of vital signs to ensure that patient overall health is monitored in an effective manner.
- Provider effective communication with coworkers to ensure effective operation of UNHS.
- Following all UNHS infections control guidelines for the cleaning and disinfection of UNHS rooms and equipment to ensure safe practice are preformed to ensure decreases spread of infections.
- Competencies will be completed to ensure basic knowledge of needed procedures and equipment usage. Knowledge of vaccine schedules, proper lab collection techniques will also be assess yearly as per UNHS protocol
- Documentation review of all aspects of user charting will be monitored to ensure that proper use.
- All EMR interviews and vital sign collection will be assessed on an as needed basis and reports from providers will be investigated by MCC Practice Clinical Manager.
- Assessment of over all work and communication with all UNHS staff will completed on an ongoing basis. Any reports of work or communication errors will be follow up on by MCC Practice Clinical Manager.
- Room cleaning logs will be reviewed on a monthly basis by MCC Practice Clinical Manager and any areas for concern will be addressed by the MCC Clinical Manager.
- Competencies will be reviewed at 90 days of employment and then annually thereafter by BFP Practice Clinical Manager.
- Period review of medical records will be done as per UNHS policy to ensure that documentation is completed in a timely manner and done correctly as to meet UNHS billing requirements and UNHS provider needs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Must receive annual inoculation of flu vaccine.
- Must receive or have received all CDC recommended vaccines for healthcare workers.
- Interviews patients and documents a basic medical history. Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height. Records this information into the patients charts. Reports any abnormal findings to the medical provider seeing said patient.
- Provides administrative support to medical providers and nurses to ensure effective operation of UNHS. You will support medical providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, management, organization, education, and communication.
- Prepare, clean, and stock treatment rooms and medical instruments as per UNHS policy to ensure that rooms and equipment are ready for the patient upon their arrival.
- Assist providers, nursing staff, and lab staff with procedures and examinations when needed within the clinic to ensure proper care of patients. This can include but is not limited to referrals, vaccination, lab collection, and follow up care items as ordered by UNHS providers.
- Ensure proper documentation of all patient related items into UNHS electronic medical records. All abnormal findings must be reports to medical personal in a timely manner and documented in the EMR that said report occurred.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications needed to perform the job:
- Completion of a CNA program with Certification.
- One to two years’ experience as a CNA.
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is a must.

- Proof of up-to-date PPD skin testing, if previously negative (OR) Proof of positive PPD skin test with the most recent chest x-ray and treatment history.
- Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap).
- Varicella titers, history of varicella or varicella immunization series.
- Influenza vaccine for the current year.
- COVID-19 vaccine
- Any other vaccinations as requested.
