CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN - CVOR

SHIFT: WEEKENDS ONLY

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the manager and registered nurse, the certified surgical technician provides safe and efficient care to the patient in the operating room. Included in this assignment is a strong working knowledge of the perioperative setting and effective communication skills in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist and current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Gaurd of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service or employeed to practice Surgical Technology in a healthcare facility prior to September 1, 2009 required
• Must pass CST exam within 180 days of graduation from the CST Program
• Two years Operating Room Experience Preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

• BLS required
