We are currently hiring a Charge Nurse for our Brush Prairie Inpatient facility working with adolescents. This is a full time position offering competitive pay, benefits and paid time off.
Job Duties:
- Charge RN of the shift is responsible for staff and client assignments, directing and coordinating Skills Coaches and other floor staff.
- Verify and implement physician orders according to Daybreak policies and procedures. Counter-sign transcriptions of physician orders on Medication Administrative Records (MARS)
- Act as team leader during crisis and provide hands-on decision-making
- Responsible for oversight, implementation and compliance of policies and procedures relating to safety of clients and staff
- Administer injectable, topical and oral medications as prescribed, interpret client response to medication and take appropriate action based on current pharmacological standards.
- Exhibit professional leadership, resolve problems with staff when possible or refer to supervisor when necessary
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation: Starting at $40/hour, depending on experience with a $5,000 signing bonus
*3 years minimum nursing experience to qualify for $40/hour; salary negotiable.
Educational and Professional Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- Prior experience in inpatient psychiatric units and/or substance use treatment facilities
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health and substance use disorders.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including proficiency with the Electronic Medical Record
Licensing/Certifications:
- Current Washington State DOH Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR certification
Shift: 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week, Day shift
