Klamath Health Partnership (KHP) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) actively recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer. We are a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral and community health services to the medically underserved of the Klamath Basin in southern Oregon. The Board of Directors will select and appoint an Executive Officer who will be delegated the responsibility for overall administrative management and operation of the community health center, while providing strategic leadership. The CEO acts in accordance with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the organization. The Executive Officer is administratively responsible to the Board.

The Chief Executive Officer manages and directs the organization toward its primary objectives. Establishes current and long-range objectives, plans and policies, subject to the approval by the Board of Directors. Dispenses advice, guidance, direction and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies and Board of Directors approval. Oversees the adequacy and soundness of the organization’s financial structure. Reviews operating results of the organization and takes steps to ensure that the appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results. Represents the organization with major customers, shareholders, financial community and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the leader responsible for Health Center Operations, Facilities, Quality, and all other Patient Support Services, develop the systems and procedures necessary to drive and expand efficient operations across all health center delivery sites and business functions.
  • Lead and mentor site leaders and support leaders to ensure they have the proper skills and resources needed to partner efficiently with each other, direct reports and business partners.
  • As a partner with the COO, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Dental Officer, Chief Behavioral Health Officer, and the Chief Pharmacy Officer help ensure that the clinical operations are fully integrated with health center operations and support functions.
  • As a partner with the Chief Financial Officer, help ensure that the organization’s financial systems, budgets, and management reporting processes are built and managed to support the organization’s growth and properly reflect its evolving impact model.
  • Nurture the organization’s culture, values and strengths, especially during critical, rapid growth periods.
  • Effectively establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the provider staff to achieve increased provider satisfaction and participation.
  • Integrate the measurement of clinical quality and service standards with those of strategic planning and operations management.
  • Maintain a framework for continuously monitoring and improving the quality of care and services provided to patients.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum of five years progressive management experience required, preferably with a FQHC or Community Health organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in health administration, or related field.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of management/staff and across organizational lines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Tactful, mature, professional demeanor, advocates team concept.
  • Demonstrated mentoring skills with staff to achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience reviewing workflow processes and leveraging stakeholders to implement more efficient and effective procedures
  • Strong experience working in partnership with leaders and colleagues to drive results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,315.25 - $137,776.00 per year
