Chief Financial Officer
Job description
Who We Are
Mission:
Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCU) strengthens our communities by empowering all Utahns through access to affordable housing and financial security.
Vision:
CDCU assists in alleviating the burdens of poverty and financial insecurity so that all Utahns can develop their full potential.
History:
Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCU) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization founded in 1990. Our organization has since grown to be a major affordable housing provider throughout the state of Utah. We build new single and multi-family housing, rehabilitate existing housing stock, and work to
revitalize neighborhoods around the state. We also provide a combination of critical community services including homebuyer education, homeowner case management, down payment assistance, and mortgage lending. Everything we do is designed to help low-to-moderate income families make homeownership a reality.
In the past five years, CDCU has expanded the spectrum of housing to include the acquisition and development of multi-family housing. As the market continues to elevate the cost of owning a home, CDCU has transitioned from a single focus on home ownership to a more diverse portfolio of affordable housing solutions. CDCU is developing three new apartment projects in Salt Lake County and currently owns a 23-unit apartment complex in Salt Lake City. All CDCU apartments are restricted to an affordable income range to include formerly homeless individuals, workforce housing, and low income families.
Location:
The Chief Financial Officer position is based in Salt Lake City, a growing and modern city, set at the foot of the spectacular Wasatch mountains. Offering an effortless balance between nature and city living, the Utah capital continues to thrive and has become a mecca for arts, gastronomy, and technology. Only 25 minutes from world-class ski resorts and a few hours away from the spectacular red rock beauty of southern Utah and its famous national parks where recreational opportunities abound, Salt Lake City offers an unparalleled quality of life. Combine Utah’s robust and growing economy, bustling cultural scene (it’s home to the Sundance Film Festival), major international airport, and it is easy to see why over a million people choose to make Salt Lake City their home.
