Job Title: Child Abuse Prevention & Treatment Case Manager

Program: Early Intervention and Family Strengthening Services - Voluntary Case Management

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

PACT’s Voluntary Case Management (VCM) program serves families on Oahu who have been referred by Child Welfare Services (CWS) after a report to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline has been made and the family has been identified as moderate to moderate high risk. Each family will be assigned a case manager who will address the range of family system issues that place children at risk of child abuse and neglect.

The Case Manager provides voluntary in-home services to families who are at-risk for child abuse and neglect. Our Case Managers have extensive knowledge and experience in case management and demonstrate strong, persistent, and creative outreach to engage children and families in developing goals and objectives as part of a successful family partnership plan.

The rewarding and skills-based services provided by the Case Manager include:

• Assessment and lead case management services to ensure families gain access to appropriate resources.
• Observe and report accurate data on the functions and dynamics of children and their families.
• Skill building sessions to increase parenting knowledge and child development.
• Increase protective factors that will reduce the risk for child abuse and neglect.
• Develop a strong support network for families to foster self-sufficiency.

Education: Bachelors’ Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field required.

Experience and Training: One (1) year relevant working experience in child abuse and neglect case management services including comprehensive home visiting assessments, domestic violence, and substance abuse highly desired.
