RVCC is Hiring an Triage Coordinator


As one of the largest providers of mental health therapy in our region, River Valley Counseling Center offers a full-spectrum of care. Our clinicians offer high quality outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Our CBHI (Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative) program offers accessible therapeutic care to children and their families, including in-home therapy. This position will be responsible for oversight and maintenance of the referrals for our three CBHI programs and representing the programs as our "front door" or initial contact for referral sources and families of the clients referred.


Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree in mental health field (MA, M.Ed., or MSW)

  • Experience working with children and families is a plus.

  • Experience working with insurance verification is a plus.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive referrals, check insurance eligibility, enter the referrals into the EHR (electronic health record) system and make initial contact with the families of the clients to describe the program and their willingness to engage, determining priority level of the cases.

  • Call commercial insurance plans to determine eligibility for these services on a case by case basis.

  • Assist the Program Director with maintaining a database of cases to be assigned for the purpose of monthly reporting that needs to be done by the Director.

  • Provide weekly follow-up calls for all clients on the waitlist.
