LOCC Children’s Minister (Part Time)
● Pay: $12.50/hour
● Weekly: 2-5 hours per week
● Sundays: 8:45-11:15
● Wednesdays: 5:45PM-7:15PM

Position Summary:

The LOCC Children’s Minister is responsible for the growth, care, and biblical education of our kids ranging from grades K-5. They are to ensure professional, safe, and effective operation of our children’s ministry program including recruitment and training of additional Children’s
Ministry staff as the program grows. The director will lead our kids in lessons of God’s Love,
God’s Word, and Fellowship with God’s people. It is our goal to lay a foundation that will keep children not only interested in coming to church, but develop a lifelong understanding of what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

Minimum Requirements:
● High School Education or Equivalent.
● Ability to pass a background check.
● Dependable personal transportation.
● Willingness and aptitude for working with children from grades K-5.
● Personal, Moral, and Spiritual values that are in line with a Christian ministry role.

Main Responsibilities:
● Oversee and develop all aspects of the Children’s Ministry including, but not limited to:

Preschool, Nurseries, Children’s Church, VBS, and other special events
● Recruiting and training children’s workers and leaders as the program grows.
● Organizing classroom, materials, and lessons to maximize cleanliness, safety, and effectiveness of a biblical Children’s ministry.
● Development (or care of) lessons, policies, and procedures of LOCC Children’s Ministry.
● Scheduling of workers, substitutions, and Children’s Ministry events.
● Keep records of expenditures, Children’s Ministry budget, and attendance.
● Maintain visitation, prayer, and outreach to visiting/existing children and their families.
● Work with other church staff and LOCC Pastor to ensure success of the program.
