Geisler Librar y at Central College seeks a collaborative, dynamic, student-oriented circulation supervisor. This non-exempt, benefits eligible, ten-month (August-May) position interfaces with user access to library resources through circulation, reserves, interlibrary loans, and electronic holdings. The circulation supervisor reports to the reference librarian to support student learning by assisting with access to library resources. Employees in Geisler and across the Central campus interact in an academically stimulating and congenial environment with a focus on student success

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities focus on meeting the needs of students and faculty members by facilitating access to library resources and serving as the primary contact on matters related to circulation. The circulation supervisor is responsible for managing student employment in the library, including scheduling, training, supervision and evaluation. Central's new colleague will also manage course reserve materials and make them accessible through library web applications and evaluate materials to ensure compliance with U.S. Copyright Laws, library licensing requirements, and Geisler library reserve policies before adding them to course reserves.

The circulation supervisor will assist librarians in planning and implementing policies and schedules to enhance access to library resources. The successful candidate will maintain statistical data on the circulation of traditional library materials and use of library space and serve as the initial contact for library equipment maintenance including multifunction printers, microform readers, computers, printers, scanners and book security system.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (or associate's degree with 3 years of employment) required.
Strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and solid interpersonal skills are important.
Knowledge of computer operations plus one to three years of effective experience preferred.
Available to work some evenings and weekends.
Ability to work effectively across difference.
