Otak is hiring a Civil Engineer to join our Civil Design team! Bring your leadership skills and use your expertise in successfully undertaking a variety of land development projects throughout Oregon/SW Washington. This position will work on multi-disciplinary projects where you will use your engineering judgment to transform design concepts into construction drawings and technical specifications. You will have the opportunity to partner with our architects, landscape architects, urban designers, planners, surveyors, and support staff, who all share a desire to blend an innovative approach to creating mindful designs. This position can be based in our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA office. Occasional travel between offices may be necessary for team collaboration and/or client meetings.

What you'll do:

• Work in collaboration with Otak team members (project managers, landscape architects, building architects, CAD drafters, etc.) to produce high quality project documents, from design inception to completion of construction.
• Perform civil design tasks related to site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control, and public right-of-way improvements.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Participate in ongoing professional development courses and sessions, along with other Otak team members.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent education is required.
• Must have minimum five (5) years of professional related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing is required.
• Demonstrated experience with latest AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Seeking a team-oriented individual who is self-motivated and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required or an approved exception.

Civil Engineer I: $78,000 - $96,000
Civil Engineer II: $84,000 - $104,000
Civil Engineer III: $93,000 - $115,000
Civil Engineer IV: $103,000 - $127,000
