We are actively searching for a dynamic and self-driven Civil Engineer / Designerfor a well-established engineering firm based in the US. Our client is in the process of opening new offices in Puerto Rico, as part of the firm’s expansion strategies. The title of the position we are recruiting is a Project Civil Engineer role. This position will entail preparing engineering designs for the firm’s Clients based in the US. The role will initially start remotely in Puerto Rico, and eventually work at the new office locations in San Juan. Among the responsibilities of this key role:

Project Civil Engineer

• Prepare engineering design calculations and construction plans to directly support residential, commercial, and roadway developments including site grading, stormwater, utility design, and

details, as well as prepare written drainage and utility reports

• Code, entitlements, and general due diligence research
• Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Must be solution-oriented
• Self-motivated
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Civil Engineering experience
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
• Exposure to stormwater, utility design, and land development
• Exposure to the understanding of permitting process, codes, and criteria
• Exposure to preparing construction plans and reports
