Olin Corporation is hiring a Claims Analyst to be located at Olin's Headquarters in Clayton, MO (St. Louis area). In this role, you will provide claims support to Risk Management. You will be responsible for managing day to day insurance and claim activities across the organization. This position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Claims Analyst Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages all phases of events, claims, and lawsuits across all lines of coverage consistent with industry best practices including intake, investigation, evaluation, litigation management, and resolution.
  • Primary responsibility for oversight of and communication with third-party administrators, brokers, insurers, and interaction with in-house and outside counsel.
  • Monitors claims to ensure timely and appropriate closure, and coordinates and leads quarterly Workers Compensation claim reviews
  • Provides communication, training and guidance to various business units on insurance and claim issues;
  • Manages the accounting activity of risk management, including invoicing and IBNR reporting
  • Prepare presentations to Director, Risk Management on claims trends and claim related activities.
  • Create an awareness of claims management and safety by developing relationships with business units throughout the enterprise; develop and implement loss reductions and loss mitigation programs as appropriate
  • Oversee claim management information system reporting process; provide quarterly claim summary analysis; oversee claim reconciliation process with third party administrator, including significant volume of legacy environmental and asbestos claims; provide support for annual Workers Compensation audit
  • Manage claim notification process to broker and insurers for environmental, products, and excess liability events
  • Work with other departments, including finance, treasury, and tax on projects as requested

Claim Analyst Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience handling complex commercial claims, including toxic torts. Degree in risk management, business or related discipline preferred.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 9 years of experience handling complex commercial claims, including toxic torts
  • Risk Management designation (AIC, ARM, or CPCU) preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to effectively interface with internal and external personnel and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred .
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
