Section 1: Position Summary

Total Growth Associate is a member of the Internal Sales organization and is tasked with engaging existing clients to share the virtues of Ascensus services and to enable adoption. The position will drive incremental revenue growth within their assigned clients and proactively seek out new ways and solutions to continue to increase revenue growth through consultative dialogue and selling. This is a high-performing outbound sales production role.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on Ascensus services and leverage consultative dialogue with plan sponsors and financial professionals to encourage service adoption and client loyalty.
  • Engage clients to understand their business and how Ascensus services can create efficiency, ease of doing business, and retention tools for their participants.
  • Cross-sell revenue opportunities, educate financial professionals/plan sponsors regarding, products, processes, and services.
  • Identify and cultivate incremental revenue generation through calling efforts and follow up from mail/email campaigns, referrals, and social media activity.
  • Manage pipeline throughout the sales cycle, resulting in closed business.
  • Develop and share proactive sales techniques that lead to increased revenue.
  • Portray a strong understanding of the retirement plan industry and a mastery of Ascensus retirement plan products and services.
  • Identify ways to attract and retain new clients.
  • Manage all business and sales related information within CRM – Microsoft Dynamics and other tracking mechanisms.
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the retirement industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Work and thrive independently with little to no supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers
  • Demonstrated understanding of social selling concepts and practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans with knowledge of IRS and ERISA regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Able to effectively render sound advice and judgment within company guidelines and ERISA rules
  • Proficiency in MSOffice software applications, specifically Excel
  • Experience with CRM – Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce.com
  • Ability to manage pipeline information and reports, data, and insights of a sales territory
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and drive sales growth

The national average salary range for this role is $40K-80K in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
