Overview: The Clinic Coordinator - Developmental Beh Pediatrics assists the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics through daily clinical operations and care coordination such as patient rooming, communication between both patient family and medical providers, patient scheduling, managing wait lists and referrals, and owning the administrative functions in clinic. Nationwide Children’s Hospital. A Place to Be Proud.Responsibilities: ? Collaborates with healthcare providers, nursing team, and administrative support staff to ensure high quality patient care. Coordinates unit communications, efficient clerical clinic processes, and environmental activities in the clinic. ? Assists with office administration, patient related communication, completion of paperwork, and maintenance of reports and processes. Reviews incoming intake packets. Assists in the scoring and results documentation of incoming questionnaires.? Answers phones, assists in scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, processes incoming faxes. Assists in emergency situations, initiates emergency calls when needed or directed and verifies appointments in inclement weather conditions.? Maintains a clean, safe patient care area and clinic environment. Cleans, orders, and stocks clerical, educational, and clinical supplies. Conducts audits and documents results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Places work orders within clinic as needed.? Assists Manager in identifying areas for improvement opportunity. Performs data entry for quality improvement, screening tools, or other clinic-based projects.? Assists in the delivery of high-quality patient care through efficient rooming of patients. Manages patient loads in an efficient manner and problem solves with scheduling and other time management matters. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPPA guidelines.? Assists clinical team in obtaining prior authorizations and pre-certifications for testing and services as indicated and documents appropriately. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Skills: Experienced with Microsoft Office, EMR experience highly preferred.Experience: 2-3 years medical office experience preferred.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
