Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Administration or other relevant field is required, experienceworking as in a related field may substitute for education.
- Three years’ experience as a an officemanager, administrator or other relevant field may substitute for education.
- Must be able to read, write and communicateclearly and concisely in English to communicate with patients and staff regarding policies of the clinic.
- Any ability to communicate in Spanish is a preferred skill.
- Must be able to use or learn to use withappropriate training computers and computer programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft OfficeSuite, and YNHS selected Electronic Health Records Management systems.
- Convenient if bilingual inEnglish/Spanish, and/or ability to sign.
- Candidate has not been sanctioned or excluded from participationin federal or state healthcare programs by a federal or state law enforcement, regulatory, or licensingagency.
Day to Day:
- Provide daily management of designated site(s) in the upper Yakima Valley, overseeing business, clinical (dental, medical) and practice management operations.
- Work with department supervisors to maximize team-based care, maintain adequate staffing levels, and provide maximum patient service.
- Perform customer service tasks as needed.
- Monitor staff performance, to ensure the needs of patients are met on a daily basis.
- Ensure clinic staff completes assigned job duties.
- Respond to grievances from patients, public, or staff, to resolve issues.
- Ensure that services rendered in the clinic are completed in accordance with clinic policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality.
- Work with YNHS Human Resources department to assure support positions are evaluated on a timely basis and open positions are filled in a timely manner.
- Work with supervisors and other administrative staff to address organization-wide issues, including program development, personnel policies, employee evaluations, training needs, safety concerns and quality assurance indicators. Make recommendations and/or decisions for improvement based on the impact to the organization and our patients.
- Provide staff with ongoing work performance feedback, through formal coaching such as performance reviews and discipline documentation, working with appropriate supervisors as necessary to ensure timely completion of these tasks.
- Assure professional documentation, electronically and on paper, is completed timely and accurately. Develop expertise in processes in order to train and analyze staff performance.
- Develop and lead staff training.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and quality assurance activities as applicable to the position, including submitting all necessary forms or documents to maintain clinic accreditation.
- Maintain organized, clean, efficient, and confidential work area at all times.
- Represent YNHS in local professional meetings as requested.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by clinic administration.
- Must be able to maintain confidential information with regards to patients, following all HIPAA laws and YNHS policies.
