We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Clinical Coordinator to join the Mountainside Medical GroupTeam!


Responsibilities

What You'll Do
The Clinical Coordinator supervises the medical assistants within the MPV Practices on a daily basis, overseeing workflow, scheduling, and patient satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Monitor the EMR patient tracker and patient screening to prevent delays in provider scheduled appointments and acts to ensure constant flow threw out the site
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory ordering and
  • Obtain vital signs, medication reconciliation, screen, interview, counsel and provide direct patient care. Document all clinical observations, findings, and services provided in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR). Report all abnormal observations and findings to the appropriate medical provider
  • Perform and monitor clinical staff’ s documentation in the EMR of all ACO / CPC+ measures to ensure capture of all required fields including patient education on health maintenance, preventive health, and medication adherence
  • Perform and monitor clinical staff assigned Rx, Results and Office voicemail folders daily, and the clinical pools daily for tasks, follow-ups as assigned, send Urgent Lab Recall and Missed Appointment letters, as required and acts to prevent back up and delays in patient/ provider needs
  • Perform and monitor MA staff preparation and documentation of patient materials for various procedures/treatments, including consents, and patient educational material
  • Perform and monitor and documents the following tests/procedures/treatments as ordered by providers including but not limited to: EKGs, CLIA waived Testing, Venipuncture /obtaining Labs Specimens and Administering Vaccines according to Center protocol. Assist with examinations and procedures (i.e. colposcopy, pelvic exam, urinary catheterization, endometrial biopsies, LEEP, IUD insertions, etc.), as needed and as per national standards and Center protocols
  • Maintain medication inventory and orders medical equipment/supplies as needed and acts on equipment malfunctions for repair
  • Create and monitor monthly staffing schedule and daily assignments to identify, plan and reassign/ float clinical staff as needed in collaboration with fellow Clinical Coordinators to maximize staff utilization and promote efficient provider support and patient care
  • Follow and promote network quality initiatives and national standards with staff compliance in infection control guidelines, i.e. hand hygiene, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizat

Qualifications

What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant school/program and maintain a current National Certification as Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant; LPN license preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in ambulatory setting
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required
  • CPR Certification preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and adapt to the needs and demands of a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Working experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software
  • Basic skills in a Microsoft environment: MS Outlook, Word and Excel
