Coordinate and supervise staff providing a full array of individual, group and rehabilitative services to persons adversely affected by chemical abuse or dependency, in a residential clinical setting. Supervise Clinical staff in coordination with the Program Director.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm. *may include evening, weekend, and holidays*

Essential Job Functions:

Under the guidance of the Program Director and working with clinical staff members

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising various aspects of the residential program including staffing levels, PTO approval, approving timecards and training requests for supervisees
  • Collaborate with other agency programs to provide the most effective and individualized treatment possible
  • Explore and incorporate treatment models into clinical practice
  • Using established best practices, develop programming to meet the needs of the RRSY client populations, including but not limited to group, individual, family services and daily operations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Equine Therapy Program; train staff in Equine Therapy and monitor validity and fidelity of the program.
  • Using established best practices, provide clinical supervision to staff in individual and group settings as needed, under the guidance of the Program Director
  • Maintain supervisory paperwork including supervision logs, supervision contracts and annual goals.
  • Work with clinicians on professional growth including, but not limited to, staff development and the development of professional development plans
  • Responsible for onboarding, 6 month review, annual review, staff development, education, training and disciplinary action for staff you supervise
  • Work with staff to ensure continuum of care, coordination of services and open communication; ensure emphasis on strong team working together
  • Be accessible to clinical staff for direction in handling client concerns, crises and incidents, which include providing guidance and direction of reporting requirements
  • Could carry a small caseload as need (1-2 clients)
  • Develop orientation procedures and keep orientation manuals updating with current regulations and procedures
  • Involved in interviewing, selecting and orienting all staff for the RRSY
  • Prepare for and facilitate Multidisciplinary Treatment Team meetings and help to maintain minutes
  • Manage all aspects of the clinic day to day functions including but not limited to Staff meetings, Utilization Review and Quality Assurance measures in compliance with regulations
  • Supervise the development and documentation of client records in accordance with OASAS regulations
  • Review the appropriateness of admissions and discharges; direct issues and concerns to the Program Director.
  • Ensure that the program meets all applicable clinical directives and guidelines of OASAS, state and federal regulatory agencies, ie. HIPAA, 42 CFR
  • Develop, implement and maintain the program's policies and procedures manual in conjunction with Director of Quality Assurance and Corporate Compliance and Program Director
  • Participate in periodic reviews of case records to ensure files are in compliance with Medicaid and OASAS requirements
  • Participate in periodic self-assessments utilizing the Medicaid self-assessment ensuring program compliance
  • Present a positive image when representing Credo at community functions, meetings and in business related communications
  • Establish and maintain healthy relations between referral sources and the agency and promote all services
  • Work with Managed Care/insurance companies to justify continued treatment as needed
  • Monitor safety systems and emergency procedures within the site
  • Attend and participate in relevant training while pursuing/maintaining CASAC and other licensure
  • Participate in On-Call rotation
Requirements:

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Possess a bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or other closely related field;

And

Possess a CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) certification or NYS Licensure in the Behavioral Health field or be a QHP (Qualified Health Professional); with relative clinical experience with the substance abuse and/or mental health population

And

Have 1 year supervisory experience And

Must support a Person- Centered approach to care

And

Must subscribe to a Professional Canon of Ethics.

Other Job Requirements:

Must maintain a valid Driver's License, as specified in the personnel policies.

Must maintain all laws and policies concerning confidentiality, security, and client rights as specified in the employee manual, 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.

Must maintain current certification and/or training in areas specified by state law and agency regulation.
