Clinical Educator for Maternity Services, Maternity Services, full time, day shift
Job description
Position Summary:
Coordinates all education activities and hospital programs according to policies, procedures, philosophy and goals of the hospital and nursing services, as assigned by supervisor. Functions as a role model and resource person.
Facilitates education for Women's Services of Palmetto General Hospital and Northshore Medical Center. Women's services include L&D, Mother-Baby, and Neonatal ICU
Facilitates and assist participants in courses scheduled on campus and off campus.
Flexible hours: Typically Monday-Friday,8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m or based on department needs
Position Qualification:
(Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities):
- Instructor in NRP and Fetal Monitoring preferred (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
- RN with minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience preferred, relevant experience in Women's Services required.
- Clinical Educator experience preferred
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Current State of Florida RN License required
Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
Current ACLS (American Heart Association) preferred (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
