Conducts sales efforts with prospects for all levels of care within the community to meet and exceed budgeted occupancy while ensuring customer satisfaction. Assists in identifying opportunities to promote partnerships with professional and referral sources.
Responsibilities:

Adheres to the preadmission procedure and policy as established by Lutheran Life Communities

  • Interfaces with family members, caregivers, medical professionals, and referral sources.
  • Conducts a thorough assessment and evaluation of prospect’s clinical, social, and financial needs through utilization of the tools provided within the preadmission policy and procedure.
  • Accepts responsibility for achieving and exceeding budgeted occupancy including payer mix
  • Optimize occupancy by qualifying appropriate candidates and matching to vacancies through collaboration with other sales team members
  • Participate in department meetings to discuss tactics and strategies for referral generation and referral conversion.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable licensing regulations adhering to directives from all licensing and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure proactive and effective communication of critical information to the appropriate interdisciplinary team prior to admission to facilitate a positive experience for each resident and family.
  • Timely and accurate documentation of all sales activity in the CRM (Customer Relation Management Software) to advance the sales process with each prospect.
  • Establishes, builds, and maintains relationships with professional referral sources, ex: community leaders and healthcare professionals, to facilitate qualified referrals and establish the organization as an asset to the market area
  • Creates interest in Lutheran Life Communities through participation in marketing functions on and off campus, community organizations, and professional networking groups.
  • Provide ongoing, effective, and timely follow-up with all prospects and referral sources through outbound calls, appointments/tours, home visits, community events, and other tactics as appropriate to meet or exceed occupancy goals.
  • Refer prospects, current residents/patients and former residents/patients to Lutheran Life Communities’ services whenever appropriate.
  • Collaborates with Ministry Center team to ensure coordination of all resources for consistent marketing and communication messages to prospects and professionals within the market area to achieve referral and occupancy goals.
  • Participate in on call and after hour’s department coverage as assigned, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the written marketing plan based on professional referral source feedback and competitor trends.
  • Makes recommendations for programs and services based upon analysis of community needs, competitor, and industry trends
  • Exercises quality use of time management as evidenced by the ability to work highly independently.
  • Encourages and respects prospect’s rights especially that of self-determination, while meeting prospect’s physical, emotional and social needs. Ensures confidentiality relative to regular and consistent communication that is provided for the prospect, family and others concerned with the prospect’s care

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors).
  • LPN or RN degree preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to evaluate potential residents and their healthcare needs.
