About the role.

The Center of Excellence Clinical Manager provides clinical and administrative oversight to a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed and unlicensed therapists, students, and case managers. The Clinical Manager supports program development and functions as a liaison to external referral agencies. The individual in this role will work closely with the Clinical Manager of our Center of Excellence I/DD - Youth to promote high quality care across lifespan services for individuals with a developmental disability, including intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorders. The Clinical Manager will also lead by example and work cooperatively with the team in assisting clients to find ways to live their lives to the fullest.

You can use this commitment to provide leadership in the training and oversight of clinical staff, expand community partnership and collaboration, and execute a clear strategic vision for the Center of Excellence team at Aurora Mental Health Center. The ideal candidate is dedicated to building a state-of-the-art Center for this specialized population and will be a strong team player in working with the Center of Excellence I/DD Youth Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the provision of quality care and services delivered by a multidisciplinary team in a comprehensive, collaborative manner with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity and in accordance with trauma-informed care guidelines.
  • Lead employees, maintaining team focus and direction.
  • Hire employees, and provide performance feedback and coaching in accordance with organization guidance.
  • Monitor work schedules, and receive and approve requests for time off based on work volumes and staffing schedules.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability. Cascade information from senior leadership in alignment with organization's strategy and goals.
  • Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations clearly. Define and monitor group-level performance indicators. Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
  • Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills, including providing clinical supervision to therapists, and other team members as appropriate.
  • Work cooperatively with all staff to provide a comprehensive range of services and ensure the smooth transition of clients from one service to another, including handling referrals and assignment of cases to therapists.
  • Develop new services to meet unmet or underserved needs in the community.
  • Ensure that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.
  • Interact with community agencies to improve services to clients and enhance the organization's image as a competent provider of mental health services and a committed and caring member of the community.
  • Handle complaints from clients and community agencies in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
  • Advocate for organization's services in the community and at the state level, as appropriate.
  • Ensure that revenues to pay for services are documented and billable by the business office and that the funding source is known to the billing office.
  • Understand and adhere to budget for program.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in a license eligible field.
  • Preferred: Doctoral degree in a license eligible field.
  • Three years' experience working with population served by clinical area of responsibility, including administrative experience in a behavioral health setting. Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) experience, experience working with adults, and experience working with developmental disabilities are also needed.
  • Certification, Licensure: Current Colorado licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD). For substance abuse disorder (SUD) and Jail Based Behavioral Health teams, Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or above required. One of the preceding licensures from another state is acceptable if in process of obtaining Colorado licensure and will have prior to six-month anniversary with Center.
  • Experience with team leadership, program development, and supervision
  • Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
  • Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.
  • Excellent management and communication skills.
  • Trained and experienced in screening, assessment, and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.


Required Vaccinations.

AuMHC has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, receive an annual influenza (flu) shot, and receive negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire. Proof of both vaccinations and negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for either COVID 19 vaccine or annual flu shot.


$10,000 Sign On Bonus Available!
*Not eligible for internal candidates or PRN positions.

  • Based on full-time (40 hours/week). Prorated if fewer than 40 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on first paycheck, 50% on paycheck following 6-month anniversary.


Salary for this role.

Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.

  • Licensed Psychologist: $93,600 - $111,600 per year
  • Licensed Therapist: $68,400 - $93,600 per year


Bilingual Language Differential Pay.
*Rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.

  • 5% of base salary up to a maximum of $3,000/year
