Job description
The Research Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and administer research study associated activities and ensures that regulatory requirements are followed including adherence to the principles of good clinical practices (GCPs) and adequate human subject protection (HSP).
Key Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocols, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.
- Recruits, instructs, and coordinates research subjects, as appropriate to specific study objectives, and serves as principal liaison for the project.
- Assists the principal investigator and research director with various administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of research studies and projects.
- Plans and coordinates with the research director the staffing of research studies, to include the recruitment and administration of research support staff, as appropriate to the activity.
- Plans, implements, and maintains data collection and analysis systems in support of the research protocol.
- Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and able to work independently
