SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor will provide Clinical Supervision and direction to the Clinical Facilitators throughout the State of Illinois. To ensure that they are implementing statewide policies and operational procedures for the Clinical staffing process; also monitoring and reviewing the program standards to ensure compliance with Department and Children Family Services (DCFS) policies and procedures; identifies performance problems and develops resolutions; provides consultation and professional technical assistance to other Clinical Staffing Process team members, permanency workers, supervisors and others developing plans to improve the quality of the Clinical Staffing Process; provides input into team meetings.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following:
  • Provide clinical supervision by meeting at least one time weekly with C21 Facilitators as assigned for review of client level of care, Service intensity, best practice recommendations, and review of agency policy & procedures, rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to client care.
  • Promote adherence to all standards for quality client care which include but are not limited to the respect of client’s rights, maintenance of professional ethics, maximization of continuity of care, utilization of evidence-based practice, and collaboration, as necessary.
  • Point of contact for crisis situations as needed. Provide necessary onboarding for newly identified staff.
  • Provide direct intervention as needed with Caregivers, Client Supports, DCFS/POS staff, and other team members.
  • Engage in the development of scheduling with Clinical Services Intake Coordinators to allow for continuity of client care as well as ensure that there is coverage in all regions of the State of Illinois.
  • Provide necessary trainings such as and other identified assessment tools or other needed training.
  • Coordinate and attend quarterly staff meetings.
  • Prepare and complete necessary or requested program reports, correspondence, including electronic and paper communications to internal and external contacts.
  • Report on clinical performance and needs as requested by the Operations Manager/Associate Deputy/Vice President of AMHW.
  • Attend trainings as directed by the agency and in accordance with licensure requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all private client and agency information.
  • Participate in workgroups as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • Master’s degree in Social Work or human services related field required and five years’ work experience with targeted population.
    • Experience working with or providing services to individuals, children, and families.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office.
    • Willingness to working with the culturally diverse population (community we serve), experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of allocated demographic community resources available to service individual, children, and families, preferred.
    • Knowledge of youth development; trauma, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence experience preferred.
    • Knowledge or experience serving multi-stressed families, preferred. Open to reflective practice (capacity for introspection).

CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Must provide supervision and monitoring of the clinical activities, currently possess CANS certified or be eligible to participate in the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) successfully pass the required training curriculum and examinations to become CANS certified.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • AMHW employee shall obtain and maintain certification in first Aid and CPR. Certifications must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current auto insurance.
  • Have reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
