Responsibilities
- Conduct formal assessments, including diagnosing
- Prepare appropriate and timely written documentation of all clinical services delivered
- Provide trauma informed, evidence-based individual, family and group therapy for residents
- Complete clinical treatment plans (ISPs) and treatment plan updates for residents on assigned caseload
- Train other staff in clinically relevant topics and help to create and foster therapeutic milieus based on the PBIS framework
- Participate in FTCs and intake interviews as needed, as well as meetings dedicated to admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Work in collaboration with other inter-disciplinary team members. This includes facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings as well participating in meetings to discuss the needs of the program
- Provide therapeutic interventions and/or crisis management as needed
This position is based in Rising Ground’s Yonkers RTC location and the Bronx MMCB program but may require travel to other program sites and office locations at times.
Expected Hours of Work:
You must be available to flexible hours including evenings, shift hours vary depending on the needs of the child and family.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from accredited program, in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related area required and one of the following
- Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based psychotherapy interventions preferred
- Valid New York State Driver’s License Preferred
- Bilingual/Spanish Preferred
- Computer Proficiency, excellent writing skills to provide accurate and detailed notes
