Our client is a large, well-established real estate company that spans the country. They are currently seeking a Senior Paralegal/Closing Officer to join their team in Dallas, TX.

Open to fully remote for the perfect fit.

Qualified candidates should have 3-5+ years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions. Experience handling multifamily or Fannie/Freddie backed transactions is a major plus. The incumbent will review and analyze closing due diligence items for all incoming transactions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and analyze closing due diligence items (i.e. organizational documents, management agreement, title commitment and title exceptions, laundry leases, commercial tenant leases, evidence of insurance, various third party reports, etc.)
  • Provide all closing due diligence items to outside counsel for review in a timely manner and work closely with them to ensure all rate lock and closing conditions are satisfactorily met in a timely manner.
  • Review and evaluate borrower comments to loan documents with outside counsel, recommend appropriate responses through credit risk analysis based on professional experience, knowledge and outside counsel recommendations
  • Responsible for managing closing process with internal and external parties to ensure timely closing and sale to investors.
  • Demonstrates strong experience with credit facility, non-standard transactions and seniors housing products.
  • Clearly and immediately communicate problems/issues with a closing or deal, and elevate appropriately.
  • Provide back-up assistance to Team Leader, if applicable, Closing Manager and Delivery Team
  • Assist with special projects to improve the process and experience of our clients and business partners.
  • Oversee an assistant that will help with daily responsibilities.

Previous experience working as a closer for a commercial real estate company or as a paralegal focusing on CRE transactions is highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
