SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Machinist are responsible for a variety of machine specific functions-from setting-up equipment, loading material, optimizing efficiency, maintaining machines, performing first piece, and quality checks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to set up jobs on machines from start to finish.
• Inspect parts per print.
• G code knowledge
• Fill out all work order and inspection sheets.
• Must participate in 5s program. Keep work area cleaned and organized.
• Must be able to change tooling as needed and make machine offsets as needed.
• Participate in daily meetings. Bring suggestions and ideas.
• Communicate with co-workers.
• Keep machine filled with proper coolants and oils.
• All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

• Ability to draw valid conclusions for the assembly of mechanical products using print and verbal instructions
• Ability to read all measuring equipment digital and analog
• Ability to read, write in English; understand blueprints, work instructions, and requests by e-mail
• Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide complex numbers.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to use CNC editing programs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Completion of High School, or equivalent. Related experience in assembly or manufacturing of mechanical products
• 3-5 years of experience with a CNC machine
• CNC machine experience in the last 5 years

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
