We are in need of a motivated and task oriented Collections Manager with responsibilities in the Canada - NAM portfolio for the Jeeves Collections Team. This candidate would be responsible for sizing, negotiating loan modifications, negotiating payment on delinquent debt as well as reporting data to the Sr. Collections Manager. To be a successful Collections Manager for Jeeves, you will be required to work independently while helping others in your department reach their goals. You should have strong analytical and decision making skills. It would be beneficial for this candidate to have an extensive knowledge and understanding of collection laws and continually find ways to improve overall portfolio management. In addition, this candidate will be responsible for managing collections placed to outsourcing agencies and be familiar with 3rd party collections on commercial portfolios. Being able to communicate effectively in English is a requirement for the role, but the ability to communicate in many different languages is a plus at Jeeves as we serve countries worldwide (Spanish, Portuguese, French a plus) with English as the first language.

Responsibilities:

    • Ability to multitask and manage many responsibilities while coordinating with team members to ensure smooth and efficient collections that will help to reduce the amount of overall debt owed to Jeeves.
    • Oversee the collection of outstanding credit and invoices (In Canada) to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and per company policy.
    • Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt.
    • Interview, hire, train and evaluate outsourced collections with an agency or lawyer (and understanding of both US and Canadian collection regulations a plus).
    • Develop goals that compliment the overarching business goals of the company and coordinate to continually meet and exceed goals.
    • Conduct site visits, due diligence and auditing of 3rd party collection partners.
    • Create reports and analyze data pertaining to the department and share with executive staff and managers of department staff as needed.
    • Communicate with clients to build and maintain a strong working relationship and reduce the number of clients who enter into collections at Jeeves. .
    • Assist to Implement credit policies and procedures that retain continuity and running of the department and avoid excessive credit limits.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
    • 3-5 year’s experience as a collections manager.
    • Experience working with Hubspot, Aircall, Quickbooks, Excel as well as other MS products.
    • The ability to work accurately and independently.
    • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail.
    • Outstanding leadership and managerial skills.
    • Ability to remain organized and demonstrate strong time management.
    • Ability to adjust quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Start Up experience is a plus.
    • Must be a team player and contributor.
    • Fluent in English, Jeeves is a global company and English is the language we use internally to communicate between regions (bilingual French, Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus)
