Mercy Community Healthcare is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Collections Specialist, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.

What Is This Job All About?
- Resolves client billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency in a timely manner while applying excellent customer service.
- Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while upholding and improving customer relations.
- Reviewing open accounts for collections efforts.
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency in collaboration with management.
- Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
- Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
- Send mail correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
What We Need from You:
- The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of working with patient accounts.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Experience in a telecommunications environment is preferred but not required.
- Must have strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
