Description

Position Summary

The Color Analyst role is to assist our AB Color Quality Manager by performing daily tactical duties necessary for SGS to facilitate and manage the AB Color Quality Program.


Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Perform the assigned work following the department's Standardized Work (SW)
  • Perform spectral readings of printed samples
  • Perform print quality evaluations of printed materials
  • Communicate with customer and printers on ink color qualifications for brand colors
  • Output of contract color proofs
  • Creation & distribution of printed color standards
  • Work OT as necessary
  • Participate in the quality process by following SW and contribute to problem solving any issues that don't meet the design
  • Participate in planning meetings when necessary
  • Assist in the development and documentation of SOPs
  • Seek & provide feedback for work that you were involved with
  • Maintain the work area to keep it clean and organized. Comply with all SGS standards and applicable regulations
  • Comply with SGS EH&S policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Attend all EH&S training sessions and other company-wide and departmental meetings
  • Assist in any additional responsibilities, as directed by management. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. You may be required to perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by your manager or other management personnel

Competency Requirements

  • Knowledge, understanding and familiarity of the software/hardware used at facility
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Knowledge of color theory and packaging is desired but not absolutely necessary

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in Graphic Arts or Printing Industry preferable but not required
