Job description
This role is for an experienced professional who grasps how to create high-quality online video content. An ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced environment, focused on delivering the creative direction of the brand. The focus of this role is vertical and social media content, as well as some traditional editorial. The individual will be responsible for following established workflow across the department, time management on project work, and working on projects as assigned by their post-producer manager.

This candidate should have intimate knowledge of the post-production pipeline, and feel working through the technical and creative processes that are required for the tone and execution of vertical comedy videos.

Responsibilities

    • Create content including, but not limited to: gameplay, scripted and non-scripted series, sizzle reels, trailers, social videos, and client content as assigned
    • Follow established workflows, including QC and packaging content
    • Work closely with Post Producers to help inform a production schedule based on workflow criteria, deliverables, timeline, creative, and resources
    • Complete assignments in a timely manner and prepare content for the final release
    • Manage organization of projects, media, and assets throughout pre-production editorial, finishing, and archival process as directed by post leads
    • Execute changes to edits or story based on notes from producers, showrunners, clients, and/or management
    • Ensure projects follow post-production best practices, both internal and industry-standard.
    • Maintain communication through slack, shotgrid, and airtable as appropriate
    • Supports cue sheet delivery each quarter
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    • BS or BA degree or equivalent practical experience
    • 3+ Years Proficiency with Premiere Pro, knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects preferred
    • 2+ Years of Sound Design/Mixing , knowledge of Adobe Audition preferred
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to self-motivate and work independently while exhibiting quality time management and organization
    • Ability to take direction and constructive guidance while sharing personal experience to create the most successful projects
    • A fast learner with a problem-solving ability
    • Comfortable working on fast-turn deadlines
    • Ability to remain flexible and adjust as multiple moving parts consistently change
    • Ability to work on multiple levels of projects including big budget pieces but also routine and repetitive editing tasks
    • Up-to-date knowledge of commonly used plugins and SFX libraries for post-production
    • Knowledge of Loudness Unit standards for broadcast
    • Good team-player attitude and the ability to take constructive feedback from project leads
    • Highly detail-oriented
    • Desire to further improve skills and techniques
This is a full-time contract role that will be on-location in Austin, TX.
