Overview: The Safegard Group, Inc., a regional insurance, and risk management broker located in Media, PA, is recruiting for a full time Commercial Insurance Account Executive/Manager. Safegard is a growing agency that offers a dynamic work environment for motivating, team-oriented employees. Competitive salary and outstanding benefits are offered. Salary will be commensurate with successful candidate’s background and experience. This position will report to the Media, PA office.

Education Requirements:

  • College Graduate or commensurate experience
  • Licensed Property & Casualty Producer

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records within agency management system and electronic files
  • Initiate the renewal process
  • Prepare ACORD applications and coordinate submissions, including loss runs, description of operations, loss summary
  • Complete renewal process including notifying markets, binding coverage, obtaining signed renewal documents, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain client facing presentation documents
  • Review all renewal policies for accuracy and approval by the Team Leader/Producer
  • Request renewal policy corrections
  • Issue detailed certificates of insurance, including review of contractual insurance provisions
  • Billing, premium financing and non-payment follow-up
  • Build relationships with underwriters and secondary insured contacts
  • Delegate tasks identified for Account Assistants to the appropriate individual and oversees the accuracy of their work
  • Participation in client meetings to review/summarize day-to-day changes
  • Review contracts/leases for impacts on insurance

Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly, experience with AMS360 a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, including daily prioritizing and logical thinking
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully while expediting issues
  • Ability to work in deadline-oriented environment
  • Able to work with others in teams
