Metal Finishing Technologies, LLC, an FAA and NADCAP certified source of metal finishing serving the Aerospace and Defense, Medical, Automotive, and Electric Vehicles, is actively seeking a highly motivated self-starter to assume the role of Business Development Associate within our Aerospace and Defense market segments.

This role is responsible for developing the growth plan and new business capture strategies for multiple segments. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be given the tools and mentoring needed to impact the business in terms of revenue growth and profitability. This role involves effectively applying the latest SEO/SEM sales and marketing tools to develop and manage a growing book of strategic business while extending brand awareness.

Key responsibilities include working well in a team environment, providing outstanding and timely customer service, strengthening existing relationships, fostering new business growth, while building and providing competitive quote packages. The position is an integral part of natural career progression and skills growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • A strong technical background with an emphasis on sales and marketing
  • 1+ years of previous direct business to business sales experience, preferably in manufacturing, technical, aerospace and defense markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a multi-disciplined team environment
  • Understanding of FAA, DoD, NADCAP, ISO and AS9100 requirements
  • Strong familiarity with web-based lead generation and CRM tools (Hubspot experience is a major plus)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Optimize our SEO/SEM lead generation tools to identify and attract new prospects
  • Leverage existing relationships to retain and grow the business
  • Track all sales activity and populate metrics into business development dashboard
  • Provide competitive timely quotes and campaign feedback
  • Work closely and effectively with production, engineering, and quality leaders
  • Maintain new business pipeline and report Leads, Quotes, Wins, Values and Conversion Rates
  • Track production capacity and align product line marketing efforts accordingly
  • Consult frequently with clients to provide enhanced customer service and experience
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management in support of decision making
  • Lead ongoing marketing and brand messaging efforts
  • Occasionally travel to see local clients and new business prospects
  • Maintain close customer engagement to understand product requirements and ensure winning proposals.
  • Monitor and report Sales vs. Budget by business segment and product line
