About the Role

The Communications Director for the CEO is responsible for developing content and implementing the CEO’s communications strategy. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the director will be responsible for coordinating communications pertaining to the CEO and the Office of the CEO, including employee communications, CEO appearances and social media.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CEO communications strategy.
• Manage talking points and content for all CEO employee engagements, including global all-hands and regional events, as well as external appearances.
• Build briefing documents to prepare the CEO for all meetings with external business contacts, then drafting follow-up messages after meetings.
• Write and/or edit CEO communications, effectively capturing both his voice and strategic priorities.
• Partner with the communications team to identify and secure high-value speaking opportunities.
• Manage and enhance CEO’s profile across social platforms such as LinkedIn.
• Write and/or edit CEO op-eds and letters from the publisher.
• Maintain a regular cadence of communications from the CEO to individual employees and teams based on employee and business successes.

Skills and Experience

• 8 - 10+ years of internal and external communications experience.
• Extremely strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong grasp on global issues, current events and business trends, particularly in news and media.
• Experience working with high-level executives and advising on communications strategy at top levels of business.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent writing and copy editing skills.
• Reputational risk and crisis management experience.
• Willing to work at our New York City office

NYC Pay Range: $65,000 - $200,000
