GENERAL SUMMARY: The Community Resource Assistant will serve to promote the benefits of attending the Sibley Stroke Support Group and increase the number of regular stroke support group attendees. Facilitate the monthly stroke support group. Identify and provide stroke patients/care givers with resources in the community that can help to decrease feelings of being alone and improve recovery. Identify potential speakers to invite and present at a monthly stroke support group meeting. Identify and facilitate opportunities in the community for the Sibley Stroke Program to provide stroke prevention education.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school graduate or GED required
- Intermediate typing and computer skills.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience preferred
