Companion Care
PRN (12-36Hours per Week)

CCEVA’s Companion Care Program provides companionship to clients in order for them to stay socially engaged and to provide assistance with their daily activities in order to remain in their home comfortably and safely.

*Join us the first Wednesday of every month for an information session to learn more about this position! On-site interviews will be held at these sessions.

Information Sessions are held at our office located at: 4855 Princess Anne Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23462 at 9 a.m.

Job Duties:

• Non-medical, Non-personal care
• In-home support services include, but are not limited to the following:
• home management (light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and trash removal)
• meal planning and preparation
• running errands for client
• transporting clients to run errands and shopping
• providing medication reminders

Job Qualifications:

• Two or more years of recent experience in caring for the elderly.
• Dependable
• People-oriented
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Insured vehicle
• Valid Virginia driver’s license in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate written instructions
• Working telephone with voicemail
• This position requires a negative TB test and a negative drug screening
• Extensive background criminal and social services checks are conducted.
• Physical requirements - ability to bend over, ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift 10 lbs, push a vacuum, climb stairs

Mandatory extensive training provided. EOE.

To learn more about this position please attend one of our monthly information sessions. On-site interviews will also be held at these sessions. The information sessions are held the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at our office located at 4855 Princess Anne Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
