Job Summary:
Sparks Group in collaboration with a national health leading institute, is searching for a skilled Compliance Analyst. The Analyst will support post-award financial management for sponsored programs awarded to institution. They will verify accuracy of transactions, review and process financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and reports and ensure accuracy and completeness. Responsibilities:
Perform diverse accounting functions including preparing closing reports, reviewing general ledger and conducting account reconciliations- Manage business processes related to identify and resolve expired funding for grant-supported employees
- Interact with Principal Investigators, Department Administrators, and Office of Grants and Contracts staff
- Analytical support to post-award financial management teams and leadership
- Work under the guidance of the Lead Grants Accountant and Grants Accounting Director and will regularly report to and advise senior leadership in the Office of Grants and Contracts on relevant business process redesigns and assist on business office projects as assigned.
- Assist with audit activities, providing the required documentation and materials to external auditors
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects, as required
Qualifications/Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required- 1+ years progressive experience in business administration or accounting
- Thorough understanding of office systems including interfaces between systems, advanced skills in Excel spreadsheets, working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and Finance and query development. Ability to prepare ad-hoc reports
- Basic knowledge of the applicable OMB Circulars and other Federal regulations pertinent to grants and contracts accounting
- Ability to manage regularly occurring business processes spanning multiple operation teams
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to interact and support the staff and management effectively
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure on tight deadlines
