Your New Role - Compliance Specialist 1
Our work is meaningful. You’ll be supporting an agency completing critical forestry work across the state. Oregon is proud of its forests, and our staff are proud of the work we accomplish to protect, manage, and promote forest stewardship.
As the Compliance Specialist 1 you will perform compliance checks and monitoring of private companies that provide firefighting resources for the agency’s Incident Resource Agreements (IRA). This includes reviewing company records and employment documentation, assisting with training sessions and information sharing meetings. This position works in the Protection Contract Services Unit (PCSU) under the leadership of the PCSU Coordinator. The position has the primary responsibility of maintaining a master record database of companies that participate in the IRA program.

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide eligibility or compliance with program guidelines and regulations.

Note: college-level course work may substitute for the experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year of experience

  • Evaluate claims for administrative compliance.

  • Driver’s License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business.
