The Computer Repair Agent is responsible for troubleshooting and performing repairs on desktops, laptops, and tablets at Geek Squad City (GSC). This role requires strong change management and organizational skills. Our agents adjust priorities based on business needs. Additionally, they replace and repair product components including motherboards, LCD screens, network adaptors, USB ports, optical drives, keyboards, touchpads, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions to their needs.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots products for repair.
  • Completes routine functionality and quality testing on all products.
  • Documents repair work and client communication for each unit.
  • Partners with leadership to manage work-in-process (WIP) repairs.
  • Answers their client's questions regarding cost, product installation, operation, and issue prevention.
  • Tracks units along with corresponding parts to ensure client satisfaction and inventory integrity.
  • Stays up to date with company-provided vendor certifications and trainings as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Able to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Able to multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • 6 months of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing technology products
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consumer Electronics Manufacturer Repair Certification
  • 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • 6 months of experience using proprietary systems or inventory-related systems
