Q Factor is a Real Estate Development Firm that is vertically integrated in a “Team of Teams” with a General Contractor entity as well as multiple specialty trade firms. We specialize in multi-family, adaptive re-use, tenant improvement, parking structures, and ground-up commercial projects.

We are currently seeking a Construction Administrator to oversee all construction-related insurance programs and policies and mitigate risk by identifying liability exposure. This position will work out of our Salt Lake City home office and will report to the VP of Operations. This position will plan, direct, coordinate and assist in overseeing the growing and ever-evolving risk management needs of our construction Teams. In addition, this role will be responsible for implementing and executing a wrap-up administration program for our growing residential project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day interaction between project managers, brokers, and insurers related to insurance issues, communicating company policy requirements, and enforcing adherence.
  • Analyze and understand all policies, insurable risks, and potential risk mitigation opportunities. Interact with teams to ensure coordination between project activities, exposures, and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Orchestrate the flow of timely information for application and new coverage processes for annual renewals and emerging projects alike, completing applications and reviewing proposals.
  • Organize compilation and development of data for annual renewals and audits.
  • Additional administrative tasks as needed, including but not limited to COI management, vehicle registration and record management, license records and filing, MVR process and procedure, support with FMSCA and DOT logs and regulatory compliance, etc.
  • Review and analyze terms and conditions associated with Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIPs and CCIPs); responsible for enrollment, securing off-site and on-site COI’s for the purpose of verifying non-coverages, and coordinate all claims [and safety requirements] with project team.
  • Coordinate and Manage oversight for OCIP and CCIP Services including Administration, Claims, Safety and Actuarial Services
  • Monitor certificate compliance of subcontractors by tracking individual policy expiration dates, Additional Insured language, waivers of subrogation, primary language, and any other requirements set forth in the contract.
  • Ensure subcontractor payroll compliance and accuracy for those enrolled in Controlled Insurance Programs by reviewing monthly reports, tracking down payroll that has not been reported, identifying payroll types not indicated in the contractor’s original estimate and noting if reported payroll begins to exceed the payroll originally estimated.
  • Additional administration of Controlled Insurance Programs including partnering with project management team through periodic site visits, reviewing change orders for potential impact on insurance costs, injury claims tracking, loss control reporting, and providing payroll reports to carrier for audit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5 years’ experience working in the construction and/or insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of insurance compliance and report analysis.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.

AdditionalRequirements:

  • Previous experience with wrap-up administration a huge plus.
  • Understanding CCIP/OCIP projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the claims process is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices a plus.
